From the Red Carpet to Visual Storytelling
Zendaya’s Dune: Part Two wardrobe demonstrates something that sits at the heart of Glamour Studio HQ: The Beauty of Women Through Visual Storytelling.
Clothing can establish a character.
Materials can establish a mood.
Photography, movement and environment can transform fashion into a story.
Zendaya and stylist Law Roach approached the Dune promotional wardrobe with that storytelling mentality, using fashion that connected with the futuristic world of the film.
Glamour Studio HQ explores the concept from another directionβusing models, fashion, cinematic imagery and short-form video to create our own visual worlds.
Latex is particularly interesting because the material itself can become part of that story. Its smooth surface, distinctive shine and body-contoured appearance can produce a futuristic aesthetic that looks dramatically different under changing light, environments and camera angles.
Other materialsβincluding silicone, PVC and patent finishesβcan create related high-gloss effects while offering designers different possibilities for structure, shape and movement.
From a major red-carpet appearance to an independent visual-fashion collection, the principle remains the same:
Fashion becomes more powerful when it becomes part of the story.
